Tom's Garage Newsletter

Summer is upon us and we hope that all of you had a very enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend! If you’re like us, summer took us completely by surprise with all the happenings at Acme Trading Company. We had shared some of Tom’s west coast swing with you and all of our followers on Facebook. You saw a few pictures from Carroll Shelby’s show, Bob Bondurant’s facility, and the LA Wood Car show! We’re certain that you have guessed that these were not his only stops while out in CA!

Of course he had to visit our favorite Street Rod Builder!

Anytime that Tom visits California, it’s virtually impossible for him to pass up an opportunity to visit with Roy Brizio! Roy took some time out of his packed schedule to show Tom around a bit and then a long discussion of possible future projects.

If only our garages could look like this!

Now Tom is being very tight lipped about what possibilities were discussed and we couldn’t pry anything out of him. We are left to wonder if any of the photos he took could provide a clue.

Some interesting possibilities here!

Or, it could be any number of items in the shop that might help us to hazard a guess!

Now this would be a winner!!!

We still cannot figure out what they are up to, but we are certain that it will live up to the Brizio/Acme standards! Your humble narrator cares not what it is, but when can I place a pre-order!
From there, it was off to Pasadena to participate in the Ferrari event!

California. Always a hot bed for Ferrari’s!

And for those of you who prefer to fix them up yourself, Tom ran across this diamond in the rough!

Or is the repair being made to the Ferris Bueller casualty??

We are happy to report that Tom returned to Winder safely and is currently “suffering” from a severe case of jet lag?

Breaking News!

Very nice surroundings

Mark, from Amalgam Fine Models UK, and Mat somehow found some time to enjoy a themselves. Working a Ferrari event at a vineyard in California definitely has some perks!

All of us are on social media these days and we’re constantly amazed at what you very talented people come up with!! Want a job?? Some of you construct awesome man caves – like our friend Joe Kelly!

I’ll take one just like it!

Of course there are other talents being displayed on Facebook. We picked just a couple of photos that stood out!

Marcel Scheffler shot the 32 with an awesome background!

Caner Bark shot the 68 Yenko with the industrial look!

Keep up the great work and keep us up to speed with what you’re doing out there! We find it inspirational and extremely cool! Please post them on the Acme Trading Co. Facebook site as well!!!
